Stacy and Sean's Wedding

September 17th, 2005 San Antonio, Texas

Welcome to our Wedding Webpage

The most important thing for us when we decided to get married was that we have a great party for all of our friends and family! So far, we think it's gonna be one heck of a party! There are so many people making this possible it would be nearly impossible to thank them all. That being said, we'd like to thank our parents especially. They've all been wonderful and so supportive. Thank You.

Lancaster County

We wanted to include a few pics of Lancaster County on here to give everyone an idea as to what it looks like in the country up here. If you've never been to this part of the country then you should probably know that this is Amish Central. The farm houses and barns around here date to the early 1700's. Even as the country was first being settled, this area was known for its extremely fertile soil. The Amish came seeking religious freedom and settled here when the Susquehanna River was considered a frontier boundary.

They are a peaceful people that eschew electricity and all modern conviniences. They refuse to raise a hand in anger even if provoked. There's a story of several Amish meeting the Confederate Army at the Pennsylvania border during the Civil War. They told the army that it was not permitted to pass and they objected to the presence of an armed force. Having said their piece, they turned and left to tend to their farms. Even today they do not use electricity or drive cars. Click here for some pictures.

Sleater-Kinney at The Troc

Stacy and I actually first saw S-K in Hershey two years ago. We both remarked at how much we liked them but never picked up an album. Recently on a trip to Mainstreet Records in Manayunk we picked up their last two albums and were blown away by their sound and Corin's voice. more...
