Location:
The ceremony and reception were held at the Picchetti Winery, a historic ranch and winery in the foothills of Cupertino. It is located at 13100 MonteBello Rd. Cupertino, Ca 95014. Here's a map.

What happened:
The weather was sunny and pleasant. The ceremony, held in a field outside the winery, began at 5 p.m., but there was a photo session beforehand.

During the ceremony, friends of the bride and groom read poetry and other selections meaningful to the couple. The bride and groom then exchanged their own vows. Then they exchanged rings -- or at least attempted to. Since the canine ring bearer had lost the ring bag, they were forced to make do with rings donated by members of the wedding party. (They found the rings soon afterward in the grass near the ceremony area.)

Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktails while the wedding party continued its photo session. With sunset at 7:05 p.m., the party headed indoors to the winery's tasting hall, where the reception was held, food was served and much dancing and singing ensued.

Activities:
Food was provided by Jane Hammond Events. There was dancing with music provided by a DJ from Sound Craft Productions. There were no mimes, but there was much merriment.
